My name is Beryl Mckenzie Johnson and I came from three generations of female seamstresses, my mother being my biggest inspiration and my doll was my first model. For many years I watched my mom design all types of style for many different types of people. At the age of 9 I was given a vogue catalog, and dreamed too that I would have own fashion displayed on magazine. Now I design my own clothing and my dreams have become reality thanks to my mom.

Inspiration for me has evolved over the years I’ve been a designer. these days my creative expression derives more from family and life experiences. I believe inspiration is either very specific and personal or very random and for me it is the latter.
